After graduating from The Art Institute of Atlanta, with a BFA in Graphic Design, Fomby began dabbling in paint. Even though she has never been formally trained in painting, she paints in her studio during her spare time. Tosh is also freelanced graphic designer and creates portraits.
Tosh shares her inspiration for her art work, "I was commissioned for portraits and typically completed them with pastel. Taking art history during my studies turned me on to Cubism and Impressionist painters. I began to merge the two and what evolved from those two movements were collages and of course, the women in my family emerging as my voice."
